Litigation Attorney - Real Estate / Business Law
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in representing clients in various litigation matters, with a focus on real estate and/or business disputes. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception through trial, providing legal counsel to clients, and developing effective litigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in litigation cases in court and before administrative agencies
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on their legal rights and options
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting litigation practices
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
- Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases effectively
- Experience in business litigation and real estate law is a plus
